Exclamation Error

Hi I just started getting this error message when I log into windows. It says "A duplicate name exists on the network". What does this mean and how can I fix it?

That means it thinks there is another computer with the same name on the network. Sometimes also you will recieve a message saying ip conflict we get that at work sometimes on the computers and when you go and check there isnt any other computer at all with that one. Maybe someone can go more into this but possible its a flaw that it didnt like stop communicating before and when you restarted or started up it thought it was still there i'm not sure..
