After I put your post through Babelfish I have a question for you. How is your friend trying to connect to your computer? Remotely? Over the internet? Or is he connecting a cable directly to your computer?

he can only connect to your computer if he is sitting next to you. 10.x.x.x is not accessable outside your house, thats why you have a router.

Is he trying to connect inside or from outside?

If outside he will not be able to share files/printers
If inside you need to disable your firewall
