I don't know what your using your alienware for, but if its for gaming oc'ing your PC will only give you a 5-8% boost in performance. IMO its not worth ocing your machine for a little bit of extra performance at the cost of decreased hardware life and possible instability. However, for some things...like GPU's, oc'ing can be benefital mainly because the difference between two cards could be hundreds of dollars....at which they can be oc'ed to match performance.

Summarized: Don't worry about buying another PC so you can OC.
