Default Microsoft Office

Hi,

I recently bought a new computer (Win XP), that doesn't have a copy of Microsoft Office installed.
I have another computer, that does have Office installed, but I have lost the CD for it.
Is there any way of getting this copy onto my new computer?

Regards,
Bob

unfortunatly no. unless you have the disc image on your computer. I would say you only have the install from the disc which you cannot just transfer onto another computer.

Ya openoffice is really good and also free. You can even set it up to open and recognize word, powerpoint and excel files.

well there is 2 things you can do
1) keep your old computer and use it for using microsoft office and if your computer needs repair have something to use while its getting repaired
2) take you hard drive from the old computer install it on you new one as the master slave drive, erase everything off your new hard drive and formate it so you can use it as storage for fiels and then just upgrade the windows on your old hard drive to Windows XP

Well I don't like that second option very, requires purchasing a copy of windows xp even though he already has it. Your either gonna have to buy a new MS office, or go with the first option and use both comps.

Never tried open office, but have heard good things about it.

OpenOffice is great, fully compatible with MS Office, and it's even available in almost 300 languages!!! For those of us who like to type in Swahili
