Ahhhhh, I wondered about that. Well you can install a game with compatibility mode also. I believe it was Quake 2 that I had to do this with. It would not install otherwise.

What you have to do is... Put the CD into the drive, open the directory then find the install .exe. You then hold the cursor over the executable then drag it onto the desktop (drag it with the left mouse button held, not the right), once you release the left mouse button, a menu will appear. You want to click on "create shortcut", You then follow my first set of instructions to set the install to run in "compatibility mode". Double click on the new shortcut and hopefully the game will start to install.

Edit:

While in the CD directory you can also left click on the install .exe and choose "send to", then desktop (create shortcut). This places a shortcut onto your desktop without the drag and drop method.
