Question Just what would you notice?

Just what would you notice?
I guess the question is just what would one notice between using the Intel D 940 or the Intel E-6400? And where would they really see the improvment using the E-6400?

Wink Like in what?

Will it make surfing Web links faster? Loading programs quicker? Making copies of CDs and DVDs faster? Over the years I may have missed something but I just don't see any real blinding improvements. Now what I do see is a lot of higher prices in the newer greater items of hardware.

its better at everything a processor is used for.... not burning and loading webpages... burning depends on your burner and loading web pages depends on your internet...

it will make loading programs faster, and it will make rendering go faster, it will make games, folding, and anything else CPU intensive go faster

Wink Now we have it

What the E-6400 will give someone over the D-940 is faster rendering when playing the newer Games. So for someone not really into the newer games that demand the most powerful processors they really don't get anything over the older less powerful processors execpt the higher price.

It's like having and F1 R-26 racecar and using it to drive to work on busy city streets.

I just have my ideas about computer hardware. I read this forum and ask for advice and help because I don't understand many things.

I look to you people who I feel are the real experts to ask my questions. If I come across as being cocky I am sorry because this is not what I am trying to do.

Anyway getting back to the processors I do thank everyone for their comments on the subject.
