Default Remote Desktop

When I remotely connect to my home network from work, if someone is logged on at home it tells me....is there a way to send a remote message to the user asking them to log off before I connect?

Most certainly, if there's a phone available on that end! I'm trying to figure out how I can send them an instant message of some sort, like our computer techs at work send to us when they need to interrupt!!!

Just so I'm clear, I would go to start, run, cmd...then netsend 192.168.1.1. "hi, please get off the computer" right?

Nope, you can do it over the web also.

BUT logmein.com is MUCH easier, and better options! AND it is FREE!

you cant netsend over the internet if your home has a router. Unless you are VPNed in. Many computers have the messenger service disabled
