Question Cant decide which laptop

Hi I cant decide which laptop to buy...

I live the the UK and by budget is at MAX (inc. VAT and Delivery) £850.

I dont give about its weight as the furthest it will move is from upstairs to downstairs so mobility is not an issue for me. I will be using photoshop on it and need a resolution of 1280x1024 at minimum though I am more that satisfied with it 1280x1024. 1GB RAM, 100GB Hard Disk minimum and must have a CDRW - DVDRW is bonus. Thats the basic - I dont mind whether is intel or AMD so long as its not a intel celeron processor. I dont give about looks either.

Any ideas on where to go? Please post links and advice at will.

Thanks, R.Mistry6

I wouldn't have links for the U.K. but could give you a look at some makes and models available. First what size screen would you be comfortable with? A 14" or 15" viewable screen is the common sizes seen on most. One Fujitsu Lifebook offer 1gb of ram with a 120gb hard drive seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834110207

The vendor carries an Asus model with a 100gb drive with only 512mb of ram which is common on most models. Lower cost units generally see 256mb. You would simply buy 512mb to add in later. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220071

Averatec has one model with 1gb of ram, a 100gb HD, and even a 17" lcd for a lower price seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834149045 This model supports higher screen resolutions then you are looking for at 1280x768. Now you have to find a different vendor to see if these or other models are available.
