Default Allendale at 50.C

Now this realy sucks, I thinked that my Cooler Master Hyper 48 is sitting wrong, but no.

I tried to replace the old thermal paste an trie with new, but the temperatures were the same.
So I took my BOX cooler and placed it, now the CPU is runing at 50.C

But the thing is that when I putt my hand the heatsink it isnt hot, its warm but it ain't hot!

Now I took my my big home cooler and put it near the PC and now its says 46.C.

I putt my finger on the heatsink and it is cold. Now I think my motherboard sensors are broken or the CPU is bad
What do you think?

Core 2 Duo's are known to run very cool. If it's cool when you touch it, then it seems like either a sensor is bad, or the program reading the temp is wrong

C2D's are known to run even without the fan running under full load, and only get up to around 75C.

BTW, what program are you using to read the temps?

I tried Ai Suite, PC Probe II, BIOS and the same temps.
I found something interesting, the Asus P5B i think was a bug:

The heatsink is COOL. Im thinking that the motherboard was a bug, maybe Asus is going to resolve this problem and do an upgrade

I agree, temp monitoring software can be way off.
