Exclamation I need a compleat list of all the sockets for a CPU.

Why do I need all this info? Never mind why, I just need it and fast!!!

Socket 940 and AM2 are the same by the way, just might not be supported by the same chipset..

AM2 is Socket 940, some other processors also use 940.. Google is your friend..

They are completly difference, the only thing similar about the two is that they both have 940 pin sockets.

Socket 940 CPU's are Opteron's, which only work in a socket 940 server motherboard.

Socket AM2 are AMD's current new CPU's, which are used by the Semprons, Athlon 64's, X2's, and FX's. And they are only able to be used in desktop AM2 motherboards.
