Hello!
I want to know how to restart my computer in ms-dos and run a .exe programme (the game that i've created). I want to run my game without having windows opened to let the game runs easier. |

Did you even read the subject?
As for the question, XP does have a command prompt mode. You press F5 during boot(right after POST, before the XP screen) and there should be an option for Command Prompt Only, or something like that. It'll still go to windows, though. If you want PURE dos, you'll have to find some other version. MS-DOS is not compatable with NTFS. So if you boot to say a Windows 98 boot disk and try to access the HD, it just plain won't be found...

comand prmpt mode wont really start you in a command prompt, it just does not laod explorer.exe. If in command prompt you type "explorer.exe" the GUI will startup
If you need a dos envirnment try downloading Dosbox or install VMware + dos 6.1. Dosbox is a emulated dos envirnment in a window |
