Yes you should be able to get a better battery down the road. You can either go to Acers website or you can go on ebay where the batterys will probably be much cheaper.

you might have to try other companies that make batteries. I was able to get an 8 hour external battery for my Dell. Its the diameter of the laptop itself and It plugs into the power port. When I'm using it I just place the laptop on top of it. Works great for me

ok so im debating...shud i get this...or shud i wait till labor day for sales? i dont know if they have sales on labor day? do u guys know if there are decent sales on labor day on laptops and such items?

If you can wait until black friday (end of november), you can get laptops at circuit city and best buy for about $200.

yeah thats the problem...i cant lol...then the semester wud be almost over...the main thing i need the laptop for is to kill time in class and in between classes....so do they have sales on labor day?

I haven't heard of any great labor day sales yet, but there should be some pretty good back to school sales now.

Have you checked eBay? You can get some really nice new laptops for really cheap.
