Default Mapped Drive issue

Hi,
I have a problem with a mapped drive on the network.

Everytime I try to connect to a mapped drive I have to enter my username and password, i.e. SERVER\name Pasword xxxxxxxxx

There is no option to remember the password. It connects once it has been done and continues to work until the machine has been reset. Once the machine has been reset and I try and connect it once again prompts for the username and password.

I have double checked the permissions are ok. It is actually set to "Everyone" with full control. I even added the username with full access but that made no difference. What is causing this to happen?

Please help!!

you need to add everyone to both ntfs (file) and share level permisions. access takes on the account with the most ristrictive permisions.

Is there a password on that computer? If there is not a password and you enter in just the username, it gives you the same error.

Yes, he gets into the drive when he puts the domain\username

It doesn't work without the password. It used to though.

He doesn't get a error message or anything, it just prompts for the username and password. Once added it works until the machine is reset.

means that the Chalenge hash is not correct, the user changed the password or userid on their desktop.

Is this a domain?
