Default Finnaly Got My New System

I just got my new core 2 duo system.spec are in my sig.

Tell me if these temps are good:

Cpu:42c But room temp is 81F
Gpu:43c
Hardrive:43c
Motherboard:41c

Will see the temps underfull load but so far i think the cpu temp is too high.Dont ask me about idle/load yet because i got the system for 10 minutes because i had to go somewhere.These temps were after computer was on for 8 minutes and open everest.Dont think it was at full load.

using zalman 9500

Will post picture tomorrow on the General Computer Chat in the post your computer pic(or w/e its called)

Tell me what you think.

not bad temperatures. Speedfan is a great program that might be helpful to you. It also measures temps, but in graphical over time as well as current in digits.

Hmm, those temps seem high for a core 2, I mean my 3700+ runs at like 43C oc'ed under 100% load, and core two's are supposed to run cool. Reseat the heatsink, leave your cpu fan at 100% the whole time, there is not point in letting it speed up and slow down. Also are you using stock cooling?

Well normally there is a setting in the bios, its called different things for different manufacturers, but it controls how fast the fan is going, compared to the temp. You can also do this in speed fan or buy a fan controller and do taht, or but a 4 pin molex to 3 pin converter and plug it straight into the mobo.

Your gpu temp is fine, mine used to idle at 47, but my hdd runs at 30c and my motherboard right around there. Sounds like you have an air flow problem. . If your harddrive and your video card are at the same level drop your harddrive to the lowest it can go, so the air can flow over the harddrive then over the video card, unless you hard drive rack is suspended then raise it up to achieve the same result. I did this and my cpu temps dropped 3c. Also clean your wires up, tie them all back out of the way, even one can make a difference. Last how many fans do you have, what sizes and where?
