Default aol connection speed!

just found out how to get my internet speed on taskbar but its saying my pc is pulling "100.0mbps"...

i am on platinum package with aol including wireless router, think they call it platinum because it is instantly upgradable free of charge up to the fastest speed available!!

problem is i was told that my connection speed was 2.3mbps and was due to go up to 8.0mbps when i rang em up they couldnt acctualy tell me the speed i was getting nor could they garantee that i would get 8mbps...

i am just confused because i didnt think they let home users have such high speeds, i have recently had a new phone line put in to take broadband.

does anyone out there know if it is possible for me to be getting such high speeds???
would like to phone aol up to find out but i dont want to incase there is some kind of mistake lol
