It's a great board, and I'd certainly recommend it. I only mentioned the 680i because you asked for 'one of the best' motherboards.

The stock HSF is fine for mild overclocking. You can usually get at least a 25% overclock without increase the VCore, which is when I would look for an aftermarket HSF. As for an aftermarket HSF, I would recommend the Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX or Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, depending on the budget (I'm using the former myself).
