Question Strange Router Problem....

Hi,
Im having a problem with my D-Link DSL G604T Wireless Router.

Its quite a crap router, its always cutting off, and usually all that is needed to get it working again is to pull the power cable and put it back in again.

When this happens, the wireless is also cut off.

However, now my computer wont connect to the internet through the ethernet cable, but my Xbox 360 and the laptop through the wireless is.

Ive tried connecting the laptop to the ethernet, and sure enough, it isnt working. Ive tried using the ethernat cable from my 360, but still no success.

Anyone got any suggestions?

This could be a temporary ISP problem. how long has this been occuring?
also, are you running Win Xp and does it connect through USB?

Did you some how happen to fry that port. Did you try any other ports or is it all of them?

The wonderful world of Dlink... *sigh*. I would upgrade your firmware as it sounds like it's crashing all the time. If that doesn't work I would be tempted to send it back.

Mmm, I doubt i fried any ethernet ports as the xbox works in all of them, and on the pc, i cant see why they would.

I should mention that when in the connection properties, the connection is sending around 180 packets, but not receiving any.

Also, I cant upgrade the firmware as i cant even access the router.

When I put the disk in that came with the router, a pop up box says that the router is not detected by the computer.
