Hi,
I have a plotter on the network and everyone can print to it apart from one person. People print to this by using a IP address. When I login into the machine as administrator it prints fine, but as the user it just fails to print. The user has local admin rights, the printer has no user rights as such, i.e. "everyone" is added to the group, i even added her name to the group with full rights but it still doesn't print. Originally it never printed but we thought it was a hardware issue, but since the machine has been replaced with a new one it is still having the same problem as before. I have reinstalled the drivers, deleted the printer and re-added, as said before given full rights to the printer. The IP is correct. She can ping the printer from her machine just not print to it!! I'm sure it isn't the network card or cable as the administrator sends docs no probs. What is it? Its driving me crazy!! Please help. Woz |

No it cannot be connected to the machine manually. It is half way across the builiding! It is assigned by IP so people can just print directly to that port.
It really is driving me crazy as now I have absolutely no idea why this is happening. |
