It would probably work, ok... A lot of people use the Linksys WRT54G and I believe it is easy to setup and use. It is only around $50! Go check it out...

I agree with Trizoy... it would only be $15 more than the Airlink. Any particular reason you selected this one? I personally havent had personal experience with Airlink but Linksys would be one the best choices.

Wow 100.. Try out the airlink, and use the cat 5 to reduce errors. Come back if you have any problems...

Whoa, the thing is that your dad bought the MIMO wireless G router. It's actually a little out of date now that the N routers have come out. Those are around $100+ dollars, or the MIMOs are probably about $100, reasonable price. As far as brand is concerned though, I would highly recommend a D-Link, Netgear or Linksys in general over the Airlink. Wireless routers are not a thing that you want to skimp on.

This is Netgear's MIMO router from Newegg. (I know it says RangeMax, but it's their MIMO)

However, if he wants to get sufficient range (I don't know how big it needs to be, but...) then here's some N format options:

From OfficeMax:
Standard G (should be good enough for most houses) D-Link on sale for $40:

Rangebooster G (kinda of a wierd unnecessary format) D-Link on sale for $50:
http://www.officemax.com/max/solutio...OID=1611427603

Rangebooster N (best coverage and speed, requires N cards to take advantage of better features...) D-Link on sale for $100:
http://www.officemax.com/max/solutio...OID=1611427599

Same items are on sale at Bestbuy, same prices:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1134699413343
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1142298456685

The Linksys routers are a little more expensive, and are basically the same hardware...

Well my dad ended up purchasing this,i'll give it a try though i'll take all of your thoughts a shot too,i'll see if it works or not...if not, then back to WorstBuy it goes.I am not a network guy, neither is my dad,so seeing as how it seems G's are "out dated" i dont trust it,but...the Linksys one at 100 bucks was a G too..so im not sure :/,i hardly saw any N routers int he flyer, but i can always check.

I didn't see the Linksys N routers on sale at Bestbuy, but the D-Link one should be, I think they're probably the best out of them, Netgear and Linksys. Just don't have as well publicised of a name. That brand just sounds like crap to me... And G's aren't necessarity out-dated, but just older and cheaper to manufacture now, so an affordable way to do wireless for most people. But I must stress again that your dad bought a MIMO G router, which is newer (only about a year, year and a half old) than standard G, and more powerful, hence the higher price.
