Default USB for sound and Lan?

I need to buy a land card to network my 2 PC, i found out PC stores have external LAN cards you need only to connect it on your PC's USB and then to Network Cable, They even have USB sound cards, is this things better in performance than your standard lan card or sound card attached on the PCI?

I doubt it, usually USB external devices stinks. Just get the pci ones.

USB ethernet cards, wireless or wired, are just plain sucky. The USB format is just not designed to handle this type of information. As for a USB sound card, I haven't had direct experience with one like the ethernet cards, but I would have to agree with diduknowthat that you would be a lot better off with a PCI card.

I agree. I had a USB sound card (SB Live! MP3+), and it had lots of issues. When I tried to play some games, the sound wouldn't work, and it wasn't the best sounding either, when it did work.

I would stick with PCI, since there much more widely compatible and usually offer better performance.
