Can you link me to a core duo 2 proc on newegg?

The one you think i should get, but not so much $.. but will last me the longest amount of time, that goes with everything else on my list on page 1.

EDIT: this one?

You'll need a different motherboard. Consider something like this:

DFI INFINITY 975X Socket T -$184.99
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz -$360.00
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 -$249.99
MSI RX1900XT Radeon X1900XT -$274.99 after $100.00 MIR
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s -$94.99
SILVERSTONE SST-ST50EF 500W -$87.50
NEC 16X DVD±R DVD Burner ND-3550A -$29.25
LIAN LI PC-60BPLUSII -$119.99
HYUNDAI N91W -$199.99

Total: $1601.69 after MIR

The video card is arguably a bit weaker, but at $274.99 it's a steal.

Core 2 Duo e6300
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16819115005
Gigabyte motherboard (this board has a very good overclocking reputation)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128018
Rosewill 600watt, active PFC, supports SLI, dual 12V each at 22A
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817182041
G.Skill 2x1gb ddr2 800 4-4-4-12 memory
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820231087
7950GX2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814170103
Subeam case (comes with extra psu, and 80mm fan)
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16811166024
(must buy two) masscool 25db 52cfm fans... one for front and one for back of case
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16835150070

i didn't include a hard drive, because you may want to just get a 250gb or for some extra speed get some raptors or something... thats really up to you, but the motherboard does support RAID 0 and Sata2 so its good to go.. if you don't get the 7950gx2, i definitely suggest something ATI just because its got better drivers... avivo video converter and fsaa+hdr are definitely pluses of going with ATI and i think next time i buy it'll be ATI... depending on how it works out...

$1229 subtotal

some other items you may want to look at are as follows
freezer 7 pro for the cpu

I would suggest this case instead:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119068

It's an excellent case (I have it) and at the moment only $34. You could take the money you save from the case and put it into better other parts.

You can take a look at my system the one in my sig.At this moment perefect.Dont spend much on graphic card because DX10 is coming out soon.It will go to garbage. If you want to overclock take my setup just get watercooling. But if dont then change the mobo get some cheaper ram.

I already have a DVDRW and CDRW, mouse and keyboard. I would like to keep the lian-li case silver, stick with nvidia video card i have selected and core duo 2.

I kinda went from having a pretty good idea to all these different suggestions im kinda confused a little.. lol

Id also like to stick with the PSU rosewill also.

So i just need new selection of MOBO that works with the other stuff i have. Thats basically it. But i gtg to work now so ill look over all this again tonight.

Thanks for the posts.

why go for that shit case when the Lian-Li is way better

that case only has a 80mm and 120mm fan while the Lian-Li has 2x80mm and 2x120mm fans, not to mention a whole lot better quality construction

i would either suggest that Lian-Li Pc-60BPlusII or Antec P180B

k im home.

I want a cool looking computer, that can play games like FEAR on high and above, and ANY game on the highest settings. I use my comps for LAN partys aaaall the time, so i cant be getting some 20$ grey case.. if you get me

The lian-li is what im getting for sure.. silver probably because you see so many black ones.. like my current one ive had for 2 years.

I want to stick with nvidia for video but i want the core duo 2 now.. but i ask, why get the cheaper one instead of the 2nd highest one that i posted a few posts up? My budget is like $1,700...

Really all i want to know, is what MOBO can i get that will work with everything else i had listed, mobo, thats it im ok with everything else.. im just worried that im going to get a part that doesnt work with the rest, because no one noticed that first mobo i posted didnt work with the rest of the stuff i wanted.
