Default Graphics card..Better performance?

Hi all,

Just a basic question here...

Now the graphics card i currently have is great for what i use it for,Im not a Heavy gamer but my card will play games like F.E.A.R and the new Prey game on medium settings.

But is there a way i can get even better performance outa my card?

Heres a pic...
http://www.club-3d.nl/distri/images/...GA-E966TVD.jpg

I mean like settings or something because i dont want to Overclock it as i dont have the knowledge or the cooling for it.

Soppose there isnt anything i could do to enhance the graphics by settings but theres no harm in asking.

Thanks

Overclocking and updating your drivers, overclocking is not that hard at all all you need to do is download a tool for it and hit one button it will do the rest, what kind of card do you have?

Well the card i have is in my siggy and also in the pic on link above.

Maybe overclocking is easy but dont you need better cooling?

I dont wonna risk overclocking as i already mentioned.

My card is a ATI Club Radeon 9600 (256Mb) which is basicly a ATI radeon 9600 am i right?

Please tell me if it is.

Well, ok your card is agp thats a good thing you have a decent card also you have a fan on it thats all you need to overclock it you only need better cooling if you are into extreem overclocking, i screwed a fan on to the heat sink on my card and overclocked it fine you already have a fan on yours, ati has an overclocking tool that is very user freindly. search ati overclocking tool and get the download...besides that all you can do is update your drivers from the ati website or get a better card. you could get a good one for really cheap, try tigerdirect.com or newegg.com...

really the only way to squeeze extra performance is by overclocking or downloading omega drivers and tweaking the hell out of them with the use of a guide

Depends how much you overclock it I know some of my friends push their cards to the max (using aftermarket coolers) and then going that little bit more! Anything is possible, including fire..
