Unhappy System 32 folder keeps coming up every time I restart?

I have Windows XP Home SP2. Every time the computer is restarted a folder called system 32 comes up. Ho do I stop this? I looked under the msconfig start up tab and could not find system 2 under there. So unless its under another name its not on the msconig startup.

First you are way off course trying to locate any sub directory with the msconfig"uration" utilty. That is used to customize how Windows and installed softwares load not a substitute for Windows Explorer or MyComputer.

The system32 sub directory or sub folder is located at "C:\Windows\System32\". Apparently something happened to a system file or driver needed by Windows. It be corrupted or missing. One thing you can try if you have the XP installation disk onhand is the system file checker that will verify, repair, and replace any essential system files found damaged or missing. Type "sfc /scannow" at the Run prompt right off of the Start menu.

Have a look in your startup folder, make sure you haven't put the Win32 folder in the by accident.

Here's one item in the log pointing at the system32 folder as you can see from O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GBB36X Configure] C:\WINDOWS\system32\JMRaidTool.exe boot

You will notice the purpose of the entry there is for RAID with the "boot" added at the end. Are you running a SATA drive, array, or RAID setup?
