Default Viewsonic VX2025WM

If I go into Monitor settings and the "Hide it if it doesn't support" thingy is clicked... I have 2 options. 60 and 75.

It was defaulted at 60 so I clicked 75. Screen went completely black and said "Not in Range."

Came back like 10 seconds later and my wallpaper was gone!

I mean... so far this monitor looks great! But isn't a 60 refresh rate kinda crappy?

Pay no attention to LCD refresh rate. It is not an issue. LCDs do not refresh. The 60 number is strictly convention, means nothing.

It really makes no difference. LCD pixels are on or off, they stare, they are not scanned. They do not refresh. They have a response time, but you have no control over that. It's built in. Just ignore that refresh rate setting.
