Thats quite interesting, but is it just me or does the core 2 extreme say its clock speed is 29Ghz...?? Or am i reading it wrong?

there is a space between the zero on the right and the one beside it
it's probably a point and hidden by the red circle

I think it's a typo Even if the comma is suppose to be a period, the cpu would be 29mhz.

It confused me.

unless its supposed to say 2,900.0 as in "two thousand nine hundred point zero" Mhz, which would be 2.9Ghz... Which makes perfect sense seeing as stock Extreme Core 2 runs at 2.93Ghz... I think it should be that but its very confusing.

That is still a good article shady, just shows you how technology has progressed so much in relatively little time.

I think the number of transistors on it dont make its processor speed, those are just switches, i guess.

It really does make you wonder what will happen in the future within our lifetimes... The end of silicone and the beginning of living-cell architechtures? Nanotechnology? Non-living teleportation (they have already teleported a single atom)? Positronic brains that Asimov wrote of?

Yeh, so at best i have another 75 years to live. Think 75 years ago, my god it was different, I'm actually quite looking forward to the future. Gonna be pretty cool, lol. Then if in 75 years its like that, think of 100, 200, 500 years away (not really that long in the big scheme of things) it would be amazing some of things they come up with.

Isnt nanotechnology already in development, and has been for a long time, like those trousers that repelled all liquids that touched it, so it was virtually impossible to spill somethign down you. That was nanotechnology.
