If you deleted D and installed on C then you will have unpartition space on the drive that used to be D. You needed to delete both partitions and create one partition on the full space of the drive

i finished installing it and deleting the other version but now i have one more question...i still have my old files?

If you have old files from your old install, then you did something wrong. The hard drive should be completly wiped and have nothing on it except the new install.
