Default Black Flash

Hi,
I have recently been having trouble with my computer. When it starts up, it may flash black every 5-10mins, but within maybe 40 mins if not less, it begins flashing black and pausing almost every 5 seconds. I put it here because I was unsure if it was a security problem or a graphics card problem, but I think I may of had a similar problem before which I fixed. I hope you can help without a HiJackThis log as I can barely type let alone run programs. If you are unable to help, ask for a log or information and I will try top get it. Sorry for the lack of information, but Thankyou for any attempt to help.

Kind regards, Travis

Check your video card temperature to see if its overheating. Most cards will tell you this under the advanced video properties. And make sure all your cables are connected securely and that your video card is in the slot tight enough. If you have a spare monitor, try that to make sure your monitor isnt going bad. Good luck.
