Homecoming's on Saturday and I'm the only one of my friends that doesn't have a date. I was wondering if anyone has any helpfull advice? Thanks. If not, it's really no big deal, but it would be kinda cool to have a date for once. I mean I havn't had a gf since 7th grade, but she would go out with anyone who asked (I'm not exagerating either), so I don't know if that counts, I guess it does, but I don't know. Thanks in advance.

I seriously doubt they'd say yes, but I guess it's worth a shot. I think I might not even care if I'm the only one without a date pretty soon, it would be kinda cool to have a girlfriend though... but than I'd have to try hard to keep up looking good, I don't know.

Hehe... Some conflicting ideas there. Try nbot to change yourself to make a girl like you. Hopefully she will like you for you. Personal Hygeine should always be a personal goal to keep up with, but beyond that... be yourself. What is the worst that could happen if you ask a girl to the dance? She says no? Wow, big deal.. there is still the possibility that she says yes. When you ask the girl to the dance, be calm, collected. Talk normally, be yourself. Confidence when asking a girl to a dance is a good thing, cockyness is not.
Looking back at high school, I have always had a personal self image of who I was, how people saw me etc. I have seen a lot of people who were friends, who were not friends... And i have drawn one conclusion from it all. Your own personal image of what people think of you, is wrong. So why worry about them?

The Personal Hygeine is what I've been trying to work on when I said "but than I'd have to try hard to keep up looking good." lol. Thanks for the advice. I don't know what you mean by that last bit, but it sounds like you're basically saying that I shouldn't care about what everyone else thinks, what really matters is what I think about myself, is that even close?

I'd just confidently walk up to a girl you've talked to before and just ask. But, is it like a formal homecoming? Because if she has to actually go out and go shopping, I doubt she'd want to on such short notice. And even if you don't get a date, go with your friends anyway. It's not like they're gonna be hanging out with their dates the whole time. I'm sure it'd still be fun. So good luck

Okay thanks, the only problem is I don't really know any girls, lol. I think I'll either just stay home or go with friends. I know this one girl, but she's already going with like 3 guys, she asked me and I said no because right as soon as she asked me my friend told me about the other 3 that she asked.

Well, i dont know how far your homecoming is but if you have any girls in mind, pay some attetion to them and maybe ask one of them out. As they said before, whats the worst thing that can happen? A no... but who cares if she not interested. Hygene is important to girls, or at least to me, so just wear clean clothes ect. Then if you have someone in mind, go for it and ask nicely and confidently. If you get rejected it is no big deal, go with your friends instead and have fun. Maybe youll meet a girl at homecoming and have a date afterall
