Computer got slower...

just wondering if there is anyway i can check if my cpu is running at the speed it says it's at. It says it's 1.4ghz but it seems to be really slow.

I'm almost positive it's not any slower. You probably just have spyware and such on the machine. Or just too much stuff loaded.

What are you looking at when you see 1.4ghz? What make and model is that?

If it's a laptop, the cpu speed could just be slowed down in order to reduce power usage and heat.
