he may... sup?

i had this very same problem... do u get a blank blue area where the clock and the tray should b???
if yes it got to do with your hardware, probably from some kind of USB device.
i had this problem for not installing my scanner as properly (TWAIN drivers werent installed good).
anyway, u should sheck that and c if u installed all hardware as u should... i thought i installed all properly, but u can never know...

anyway, try to unplug all your USB device and c if u get the same problem, and then connect 1 by 1 and c whare is the problem.

good luck

Hi,

Yea, It does show some USB drivers are not working in device manager, but my task bar works now finally. I deleted some more worms and whatever. My pc works fine now, but Norton update doesnt seem to work right. Like when i download new stuff for it, it says its installed and to restart. SO I do that, but then when i restart and check back in the program, it says its up to date, but it shows a red X next to update indicating a problem.. but I dont know what that means.

that could mean that u have some kind of virus or what ever that preventing norton of doing it thing (like there is a known virus that prevent NAV to even load and u c a red cross over the tray icon)...

anyway, norton sucks... it install tons of services with windows and i must say i HATE norton!!!
i would recommend AVG, they came with a new version of their free version (7.x.x) and im using it and its great, its light, no more then 2 services, lets face it, all antivirus app r sucks, no 1 gives 1 100% security, so use AVG i think ull like that: http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free...ee_298a417.exe

have fun dude
