I need to use my joystick to play flight simulations the problem is my joystick needs to be connected to a gameport, i created connections on the ASUS motherboard on the GAME1 slot, I followed the arrangements on my old motherboard which also contains 15 pins, the joystick cant be detected on my windowsXP, I have enabled the game/midi settings on the CMOS settings, i need the details on activating this GAME1 connection on my motherboard P4S800D

I enabled my game/midi setting in CMOS, and saw it also activated in the device manager, but when i attached my joystick WinXP did not detect any joytick attached on it, even in the game controller setting on the control panel cant see any jopystick, what i did now to use my joystick is to have a soudcard on my PCI slot with a game port to play flight simulations. I already posted this on the asus forum but I had no answers.

That 15 pin game port on your mobo isn't plug and play compatible so your going to have to get the drivers for you joystick.
All you have to do is connect everything, Install the drivers, and restart your computer and then everything should work out great. |
