A bad cap I can certainly buy. Absolutely. I'm with you on that one. BIOS? No.

And no, a bad PSU will not light up the screen even for a second. I've had the problem he's having dozens and dozens of times where the PSU was the problem. That's why I suggested and was truly surprised when that wasn't the answer.

Without the bios chip you have no nv ram for video, boot device, fsb, and other settings since no information can be stored to give instruction to the board itself. To see if there are any bad caps on the board the few tips on that can be read at http://www.badcaps.net/ident/

Default Finally...........

Finally picked up computer from shop today. The problem? Bad processor for those who were curious. I appreciate everyone's best effort to help me out with this.
