My computer/dvd-drive recognizes that I have a DVD in the drive and displays the name in My Computer but, when I try and open it in Windows Media Player, I get an error and have to shut down the program. It won't open in Winamp or PowerDVD.
DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink can open it no problem though. Why can't I watch it on my computer? I have a Lite-On SHM 165H6S. |

That's what I ended up doing. I uninstalled/reinstalled WMP but that didn't do anything. After a little bit of searching I found others with the problem and uninstalling PowerDVD did the trick.
It was weird - after I downloaded a trial PowerDVD, WMP decided to update and now plays DVDs fine...
