Doom 3

It won't let me set the Resolution? If I set it to 1600x1200 and click "Apply Changes." I get a promt saying it won't take effect until I restart Doom 3. Ok... so I exit the program then restart!! Only to find that the resolution was changed back to it's original state of like 640x4xx or whatever it is. Why is it doing that?

All the patches and updates have been installed, including for your video card?

try reinstalling the game again
