alienwars cool for big budget, like $1500 ++
http://www.alienware.com/Configurato...de=SKU-DEFAULT
Area-51® m5750 is cool,
just upgrade to 1gb or more, for $160
good video card is already included. x1800 256mb.
if you need more hard drive space, get some more, may be little more.
and of course the cpu is really good, you don't need to upgrade,
you can though, may be like additional $250 for .4ghz more. i don't think its worth it...
if you need dvd burner, its extra $50 also. recomanded...

i'd say about $1700~$1750 +tax you'd get a really nice alienware laptops..
before dell took over this company they used to be overpriced.
but now adays i heard its really good to buy from alienware... especially core 2 duo laptops are amazing!

I was pricing them out as well, and for around $1400 you can get 1GB of memory, 120GB HD, 7900GS, and lots of other features.

when did dell take over alienware?

(my cousin's alienware was probably pre dell take over, if it actually happened)

can anyone confirm that dell took over alienware? sounds a little off base to me

i wouldn't go for alienware, i've heard they can be troublesome, my cousin has one which i have used and i disliked it. They do play games well though. That dell sounds cool.

Dell has def taken Alienware over. I suspect they will integrate and migrate Alienware into their products.
