Default iriver E10 i need help with videos

hay, my friend recently got the iriver E10. he cant put any videos in it. He has a converter, but he doesnt noe wat to convert it into. does anyone noe wat to convert the video clip/movie ?

A portable multimedia device that plays mpeg 4 files. The specified type of file supported is "Playable video format(s): MPEG-4 SP 128x128 15fps 384kbps" as seen in the specifications list at one product review.

Remember that was only one review when locating information on the model you posted. It may also offer support for other video formats. Mpeg 4 is one of the newer high quality formats used on portable players.

Yeah, you have to be careful with these video players, you have to match the codec, and make sure that the maximum bit rate is not exceeded by the video, either.

That can be a real pain at times trying to track down one for an unfamiliar freeware player you find somewhere. With WMP you always have to buy something extra to get one or more needed codecs often. On the other hand I can recommend Cyberlink's PowerDVD for being an excellent player for a large number of formats. That doesn't support mpeg 4 files unfortunately. Those are geared for portable players.
