The segments were opened by double clicking on the files through Windows Explorer and ran in Media Player Classic with no problems seen with the animations. The segment with real people looked like vhs in EP copied several times there however. The loss of texture is due to converting analog into digital with a low quality input. That's intentional to protect privacy there.
