I want to build a new system, and have some questions that I hope I can find some help with here.

1. I see PC8000, 1000mhz RAM out, is it worth the extra money? Do any motherboards even support it (I can't seem to find any).

2. Are there not 2 gig sticks of memory out now? Can't seem to find those either.

3. I want to build a system with Core 2 Duo e6600, with ATI X1900XTX, possibly in crossfire later on. What would be the best motherboard for this? (I've had an ASUS and its never given me problems). I'm looking for reliability, stability, versatility.

4. I am toying with getting a 37" LCD (BENQ 3750, Gorgeous TV) for my display, would one video card, x1900xtx, be able to put up ANY game on full graphics on such a large display? Would Crossfire help that at all, most importantly in gaming? I've also noticed that some cards boast high resolutions, but have found on various sites that these are for CRT's only; this TV does 1920x1080 for resolution, does anyone know if the x1900xtx would support this?

5. Is liquid cooling more of a novelty than anything else?

6. Anyone know where I can get the new Mystique case by Coolermaster? It looks awesome.

7. Does the PhysX graphics thingy really do anything at all?

8. I read about timing with RAM, I understand that lower timing is better (which makes sense lol), does anyone know what the best timing is for DDR2 800mhz minimum? Will it really make a big difference anyway?

9. When you do Crossfire, does the Crossfire edition come with a cable that "splits", like a DVI into each card, then both run into the display?

Any help would be appreciated.

1. I wouldn't waste money on DDR2-8000, 6400 should be more than fast enough.
2. There should be 2GB sticks, they still cost a bit though.
3. To even consider Crossfire you will need an 975X or ATi based motherboard (I'm not sure if ATi has Core 2 Duo supporting chipsets), pretty much everything you can buy with a 975 will be decent at worst.
4. I don't know, check the resolution that it runs at, I'm feeling to lazy to look it up .
5. Depneds how much you want to overclock.
6. Nope.
7. It doesn't do a whole lot right now, it may or may not later but either way I wouldn't suggest buying one now.
8. At DDR2 800 speeds the latencies are easily overcome, especially with the Core 2s latency hiding design.
9. The crossfire edition card should come with everything you need except the 2nd card.

I'm Canadian like you my friend, so newegg is N/A. Tigerdirect/ebay is where i primarily look.

It's really the motherboard that I'm wondering about. I would like it it to ready for the quad cores if at all possible too.

Well, the board should be ready for quad cores, it looks to have a good voltage regulator.

I think you can find all those parts at NCIX (BC based) for about $1000 and depending on where you live you don't have to pay PST and shipping will be cheaper. Or for a slightly better deal you can buy from Canada Computers, Tiger Direct and NCIX, depending on who has better prices and who carries what you are looking for.

Well basically I just want a good board, but I'm kinda confused about crossfire, some boards say the second slot is 4x, or 2x; I thought if u do crossfire they both go to 8x? Does what I'm sayng even make sense lol.

Ideally you want 2 8x (or 2 16x) but I think it will work with mismatched slot speeds. With that board you have 2 8x slots in crossfire mode and 1 16x slot in single display mode.
