Computer won't START! Help please

Well like 10 minutes ago this computer I was trying to get the internet to work on worked perfectly.
Then I turned it off so I could put the wireless internet card from my comp into that computer to see if it would work... then I tried turning the computer on and the screen stayed black and it just had continous BEEPing sound.
The Beep was like a second long each and it just kept beeping once every like 2-3 seconds...

... did i totally mess up my computer?

What are your computer's specs, especially the motherboard model?
