Default disabling one core

I have a core duo

If i disable one core will it boost my battery life?

i wasn't even aware that you could do that... i thought that AMD were working on that tech for their quad core stuff and thats it.

I'm pretty sure my previous Dell Inspiron laptop allowed you to disable a core.

As apj said, it most likely wont save you much (if any) battery life. The processor only uses what it needs.

If you really wanted to, you could also change each process to only use one core. So then the second one will have ver minimal activity.
