Transferring files between phone and notebook..

Hello,,

I have lots of photos on my mobile (cell) phone...and really want to upload them onto my computer so my phone is a little for roomy for other pics. The thing is, im not sure how to do...

My phone has bluetooth and infared
but im not sure if my notebook is compatible with this sort of stuff.
I have an Acer Aspire 1640 (it was a free laptop...i had no say in what model i wanted..)

Could you please advise me if i can transfer...if my notebook is capable?
