If the sound quality is good enough for you ( because it definately isnt bad. ),.. dont upgrade

If you really wanted a good way to hook up your home theater system to your computer, you would get a sound card that either has Digital out, or RCA outputs.

Ya, I"m using a, what is it..... a stereo adapter so I guess I wouldn't be using it to it's full potential.... But I am considering using headphones for games like CS:S.... It always helps to hear footsteps....

Actually I am getting surround sound.... For example, I was playing Half Life 2 and for some reason, when I was turned in a certain direction, I couldn't hear anyone talking and I realized that one of my speaker was disconnected.... No, I've checked, I do get surround sound, it just may not be as good....

I think mine has a digital out, but I don't think it works.... any remedies.....

I got my X-Fi Extreme and I love it!
I totally recommend it, specially if you want to setup 7.1 at a later time.

The Audigy 2 Value does offer 7.1.
