Hey everyone, so the problem I'm having is, my friend let me borrow his parents external harddrive because they put the video of our band playing on it, and I wanted to show my cousins it. Now my problem is is that, XP will say the new hardware is installed and I have installed everything off the instalation disk, and the drive shows up on my computer, it is labelled as the F: drive. So I know it is there, but it always comes up with this error when I try and acces it "F:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error".
So basically I don't know what that means so any help from anyone to help me figure out how i can get this working would be EXTREMELY appreciated. THanks everyone Jared |

yeah, the drivers were supposedly on the installation cd, and I installed everything on it. It recognizes that it is there, it just won't let me access it, and I hooked it up through USB 1.1, i unfortunatly don't have 2.0 or firewire.
