Found a laptop....is it any good

hey, i was biking down a street when a massive gargabe pile infront of someones house caught my eye. of course i had to look through it lmao, and i came across serveral cool things. a couple great cell phones in perfect shape, a small HP laptop, with all accesories and case = ) among various other items. i just wanted to know if the laptop has any value. its an HP journada, its a small little bugger but none the less cool that i found it in someone's garbage.

They are actually not laptops if I remember correctly, but "handheld PC's" or "Pocket PC's". Depends on the model #.

Sounds like you might of found a Palmtop/handheld PC. I've always wanted one of those! Does it power up?

ya its works fine, only the battery pack is dead but i have the adapter. its like the biggest one in the picture above(top right corner)

i found em buddy, i think they guy worked for hp because there were also packages of compaq mouse pads, serveral stacks of compaq paper pads and keyboards n stuff. not to mention they lived in a massive house, and are crazy rich.

Well, keep an eye out on there trash pile every week

I had a pretty wealthy friend give me a P3 laptop a year or two ago, absolutely free he just handed it to me cuz' it was going in the trash. Most are too lazy to go donate it, and jsut chunk it. My famly does an "electronics run" every few years and we pile up all our old/unused electronics and drive them over to the nearest donation center. This year I gave up all 3 of my old computers since they were never in use, got rid of a few dated DVD players and VHS machines and stuff. All working...just a bit dated. Most people would just throw it all in the trash...so keep an eye out

Man I want a Palmtop

A few months ago I about purchased one off ebay, but I'd rather have something new. But their much better than PDAs if you plan to actually type using them, as I did with my previous Dell X5.
