Default Help! CD-RW is not detecting CD's

I have a Sony cd-rw drive that came with my OEM system. I tried to burn a data CD with a free burning software. The burn was succesful. Later, I tried to load a game and the drive would not recognize any discs at all. I've done a system restore, and attempted to search for drivers, but I can't find any. The drive is a Sony CD-RW CRX217e. The drive itself shows up in My Computer.

Please help.

But I do believe that the Jobs name and the Macintosh apple with a chunk out of it could sell wet wood to someone trying to start a fire these days.

You don't have to use the player for the lense to be dirty.

Also, there's a distinct possibility that the drive is toast. It's a Sony. Go get an LG.
