Default What is the best you could build for a budget?

What do you think is the best computer you could build for about $1000 to $1500? Just anything you could think of amd, intel nvidea or ati, or mabey a custom case. What would be the most complicated set up that would run the best?

Why go with that processor? A Core 2 Duo would perform MUCH better. Any why get four hard drives? Not a very good build, sorry.

AMDs out perform intels for gaming, and four hard drives is faster than 1.

The average seek time on an hitachi sata 300 is 8.5ms, with a raid config it is even faster

Prove it, go away and look at some recent benchmarks, emphasis on the intel core 2 duo (stock) beating an overclocked FX-60. Stop living in the past ya fanboy.

Thats completely circumstancial. What hard drives, what arrangement, prove it, pick out the 4 drives and the 1 drive and physically prove it. It may be the case, but still, that comment meant nothing and wasnt backed up at all.
