Desktop to PC Syncronization

Hello everyone. I am new here and found this forum when searching for a solution to the problem I am about to present. Hopefully some of you can help.

I just purchased a laptop and would like to have it automatically syncronize with my desktop at least every day. I want to have "My Documents" on each computer and be able to change files on either computer whenever, then when my laptop finds my home wireless network, say when I get home from work in the afternoon, it automatically syncs the "My Documents" folder. I thought about just sharing my desktop documents folder, but then I will have to be connected to my network to access them from my laptop. This leaves only the synchro option. I found some programs online to do this, but have no idea which ones are good.

Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I don't have experience with this topic yet. So just a survey about some means of data transport and maintaining data consistency between different machines. http://tldp.org/LDP/Mobile-Guide/htm...transport.html
