Create a computer using rocks and sticks...
Seriously though.... Maybe make some crazy case, like certain parts of the case move when all your ram is used or something. If you want something practical to work on.. I'd say make a website about your hobbies or maybe a forum.. I don't know what you mean by project. Do you want to do something on the computer or to the computer?

theres really no point in using a forum in a pre-built package, it doesnt increase your knowedge at all and just makes you lazy because its all done in a wizard, start learning PHP or ASP and code your own forum system from scratch, 1 person doing it, should only take like 2.5 years to compelte. Would be damn good though and you would be uber sechs at PHP at the end of it

Like posted... build a Case.. thats a lot of work, and if you stick to the on of the standard formats, and do the job well,.. you can keep the case for multiple generations of pc's too. ( if you still like it then)

I really want to build a wooden PC case, i have an old case that is ready to be cannabilised, some tools, but no wood or PC to go in it.
Also I'd like to mod my case somehow, mainly because i want some more practical hobby, instead of PC based (well i couldn't abandopn the computer alltogether) Also a HTPC would be nice, possibly use the wooden case for it, use microdrive/compactflash for HDD so it's pretty quiet edit:Also web-based stuff I am working on Is a Game Arcade Script, which is almost done, and a website that is hard for school filters to filter, in my sig, thats basically to earn me a little money from ad's, as most other game websites are blocked
