Default Wireless connection problem

I have an IBM Thinkpad T30. I am using a dialup connection. I don't know what to do to make this wireless. I've been told I can just hook up to a wireless phone jack. Anyone have a clue? I talked to a computer shop and got several answers, all conflicting. Does anyone actually know how to do this on a dialup? I was told I don't need a router, etc. because it's dialup.

Thanks for your input.

To my understanding there is no such thing.

Dialup and wireless are two totally different things ... are you trying to get the wireless to work or the dialup? (if wireless, you'll need a wireless card cuz the T30 doesnt come with one by defauilt)

Hi:

Yes there are wireless phone jacks. They are very handy for things like Tivo so you don't have to run a phone line all through your house.

I am not trying to get the dialup to work, I am trying to turn my notebook into a wireless notebook via dialup (if that's possible).

Thanks for your input.
