Hi, I have an old dell laptop, model PMP. it's part of the latitude cs-series. I picked it up from a car boot for £10 (bargin). however, i am having a major issue with this dell security thing asking for a password. it's protected by a password authentication system, and needs either the primary password or the administrator password. Now i have just completed a three year bsc in computer science, so i am not stupid. i have already tried resetting the bios, even took the laptop apart and removed the internal battery.

All of this has got me nowhere and the stupid password is still there. does anyone out there know a way around this? i called dell and explained the situation, but because i didn't know any details about who originally owned the laptop they couldn't/wouldn't help me.

If anyone knows or can suggest something that will bypass this problem please help me, it'd be a shame to strip down this lappie for parts for ebay.
